Enjoying Gulf Shores Outdoors

More Info

The lovely natural resources of Gulf Shores & Orange Beach are just waiting to be explored when you visit us at one of our Gulf Shores rentals. Splash in our rivers and bays, explore our swamps and bayous, or step into our coastal forests to get a feeling for living on the Gulf Coast.

If you're just looking to pass an afternoon away from the crowds, Gulf Shores & Orange Beach possess more than their fair share of natural sanctuaries. State parks, like Gulf State Park, feature easy to hike trails, picnic areas, and a pier for fishing. Florala State Park is a bit farther away, on the Alabama/Florida state line, but has comfortable walking trails and the beautiful Lake Jackson.

If you really want to stretch your legs and go deeper into Gulf Shores nature you can, in close proximity to our many Gulf Shores condos and Orange Beach rentals. Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge comprises nearly 7,000 acres of habitat that is home for a number of animals, including the unique and endangered Alabama beach mouse. Watch birds swoop overhead as they migrate and track the trails of newly hatched sea turtles during various seasons at Bon Secour. Or take a trip to Dauphin Island, a nearby bird sanctuary, home to the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and Estuarium, which showcase local wildlife up close in aquariums and touch tanks.

Don't forget, there are plenty of aquatic adventures to be had in the Gulf Shores outdoors, too! Rent a kayak and paddle to nooks and crannies most vacationers never see, or board a Dolphin Cruise to see these magnetic animals up close.

Gulf Shores & Orange Beach have you covered when it comes to all aspects of a great vacation, including the great outdoors. Browse our Orange Beach condos today to book your stay with us!
