Do I have to arrive on a Saturday?

Some large condos and houses do require a Saturday arrival during the high season but most locations will allow for any day arrival and departure.

When can I check-in?

For arrivals from early March through Labor Day weekend, check-in begins at 4 PM. For off-season arrivals from Labor Day through early March, check-in begins at 3 PM. Most front desks are open 24 hours per day. Activity is brisk at the buildings and early check-in is not possible. If you arrive early please enjoy the area attractions prior to your check-in time. Late arrivals (after 11 PM) for properties other than Phoenix and Island Winds may pick up their keys and/or check-in from a security guard at Island Winds East. If necessary, arrangements to settle your charges the following day, will be made at that time.  During the off-season at service desks, Phoenix Gulf Shores will close at 4 p.m. and Phoenix I-II, Phoenix VIII, Phoenix IX, and Phoenix on the Bay II will close at 5 p.m. but nearby buildings will remain open 24 hours, seven days a week, for convenient check-ins and in-house guest needs.  Additionally, some buildings will close at 11 p.m. during off-season hours and they include Phoenix V, Phoenix VI and Phoenix West.

Can I ask for specific room assignments and other special requests?

Many of our guests stay with us year after year. Certain units become their "favorite home away from home.” We will reserve specific condo units, if available; however, sometimes maintenance problems do occur or a condominium is sold.  At hotels, all room assignments are made at the time of check-in.

Do you offer handicap rooms?

The public areas in all buildings offer wheelchair access. We offer fully handicap accessible condos only at Phoenix All Suites and Phoenix All Suites West Hotel. Please tell your reservation agent when making your reservation of any physical limitations you or your guests may have.

Will someone be available to carry my luggage?

Unlike hotels, valets are not available to transport luggage and personal belongings. Carts are provided at each location for a "lighter" check-in and check-out. Please return carts to the lobby when they are no longer needed. Carts can cause severe damage to a condominium hallway. Please do not take the carts inside the rental unit.

When do I check-out?

For arrivals from March 8 through September 1, check-out is no later than 10 AM. For arrivals from September 2 through March 7, check-out is no later than 11 AM. Our housekeeping staff needs time to prepare the condominium for the next arrival.

Where do I turn in the unit key?

Return the keys to the front desk of your rental location. Lost keys result in a $50 re-key charge. For security purposes, keys packed in luggage or bags may not be returned via express mail the next day.

What do I need when I check-in?

An adult age 25 years or older, who made the reservation, is required to check-in at the front desk and must present a valid driver's license as proof of age. The remaining balance of your reservation is also due upon arrival. Our Phoenix properties have fully staffed front desks and all other guests must check-in at the Brett/Robinson office front desk at 3259 Gulf Shores Parkway (Hwy. 59) in Gulf Shores.

Can I check in early or check out late?

Activity is brisk at the buildings and early check-in is not possible.  Also, there are no exceptions to check-out times. Our housekeeping staff needs time to prepare for the next arrival.

Can I pay when I check in?

The service desks accept cash, credit cards or checks at the time of check-in. You can also call ahead of time and pay in full over the phone if you would prefer to do so.

Where do I check in?

Our Phoenix properties and Island Winds East and West have fully staffed front desks and all other guests must check-in at the Brett/Robinson office front desk at 3259 Gulf Shores Parkway (Hwy. 59) in Gulf Shores. Late arrivals (after 11 PM) for properties other than Phoenix may pick up their keys at Island Winds East in Gulf Shores. If necessary, arrangements to settle your charges the following day, will be made at that time.

Can I use my credit card?

Yes, Brett/Robinson will accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

How does renting a condo differ from renting a hotel room?

An individual unit is more spacious than a hotel or motel room. You will have a fully equipped kitchen in addition to a sitting area. Most of the condos have washers and dryers, additional bedrooms and many complexes offer extra amenities, outdoor grills and hot tubs. You will not have valet parking, bell service, daily maid service, or room service in a condo.

Is there a minimum night stay?

We do not have a minimum night stay. However, certain event times and certain locations may require a minimum night's stay. Call our reservation department at 800-211-7892 for more information.

When is the balance for my reservation due?

After you pay the deposit, the remaining balance is not due until you check in. You can make payments or pay in full before you arrive if you would like to do so.

What happen in the event of inclement weather?

Refunds will not be made due to inclement weather. If an evacuation is mandated by civil authorities, you will be given a refund for the unused portion of your rental period.

What does the condo look like?

The condominium you rent is privately owned. Each unit is decorated individually by the owner. For more information, check out our Rental Properties page.

Can I make a reservation online?

Yes. Reservations may be made on the Brett/Robinson website. A 3-night minimum is required. If you would like to stay 1 or 2 nights, please call our reservations office at 800-211-7892.

How do I search for available rentals?

You must search by dates and may specify a property. Once you have found what you want, click on the "click here to book" button.

What is your age requirement for rentals?

We do not rent to guests under the age of 25. Parents must check in and occupy the condominium or house with their children during the entire rental period. Failure to do this will result in removal of unaccompanied youth and forfeiture of advance payments and the party will not be permitted to check in.

Do I pay online?

To confirm your reservation, the first night’s rent plus tax is charged to your credit card. The balance is due upon arrival. Please refer to Terms and Conditions [Add hyperlink: https://www.brett-robinson.com/p/2/terms-and-conditions/ ] regarding cancellation policies. It is important you print a copy of the confirmation for your records. If you do not give an email address, you will receive a receipt and information regarding your stay through the mail within 10 days of making your reservation. If you do not receive this information, please contact our office at 800-211-7892.

How do I cancel an online reservation?

Our online system cannot accommodate requests for changes or cancellations. Please call the reservation department at 800-211-7892 for assistance.

I saw a dog outside. Can I bring my dog next time?

How are our units equipped?

Rental properties are equipped with the basics. Kitchen: dishwasher, microwave oven, electric oven, stove, blender, toaster, electric can opener, pots, pans, cutlery, dishware and glassware. Living Area: color TV, cable connection, radio, vacuum cleaner and broom. Clothes Care: most have washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.

What should I bring?

A "starter kit" of bath tissue, paper towels, trash bags, bath soap, and dishwashing detergent is supplied. They are not replenished during your stay. We suggest you pack During your stay, you will need to supply coffee filters, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwashing detergent, food storage bags, salt & pepper, cooking ingredients, paper products, and laundry detergent. Personal items such as hair dryer, sunglasses, sunscreen and beach towels are also not supplied. Towels and bed linens are provided. We request these linens not be taken to the beach. Towels and linens are provided to accommodate 4 guests in a 1-bedroom condo, 6 guests in a 2-bedroom condo, 8 guests in a 3-bedroom condo and 10 guests in a 4-bedroom condo.   

Do you provide cribs or highchairs?

Cribs, highchairs and other baby equipment may be rented daily and weekly from several vendors including: Baby's Beach Rentals: toll free at: 1-866-955-BABY(2229) or www.baby-equipment-rentals.com Ike's Beach Service: 251-948-3757 Both companies will set up and remove equipment for your convenience.

Can I rent beach chairs and umbrellas?

Chairs and umbrellas may be rented daily and weekly through Ike's Beach Service at Phoenix condominiums and Island Winds East and Island Winds West. For rate information, call 251-948-3757.

Can I bring my jet skis, boat, or RV?

Since parking spaces are limited at all beach locations, jet skis, boats and RVs are not permitted at most complexes.
If you are bringing an RV, bus, extended van or boat trailer, you must call ahead for parking arrangements. Parking fees vary based on location and some restrictions may apply.
PHOENIX ON THE BAY - Guest renting at Phoenix on the Bay may opt to rent a boat slip and park their trailers onsite in the parking lot during their stay. Boat trailer parking at this location is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis for an additional charge.
PHOENIX ON THE BAY II - Guest renting at Phoenix on the Bay II may opt to rent a boat slip and park their small trailers onsite in the parking garage lot during their stay. However, only Jet skis and small boats are permitted. RVs, buses, extended vans or large trailers are prohibited. Boat trailer parking at this location is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis for an additional charge. For Brett/Robinson guests, close-by alternative parking is available at no charge.

What is there to do in the area?

Lots of things! Fishing, swimming, parasailing, sun bathing, shopping at Tanger Outlets, dining, golf, Waterville, Adventure Island, The Track, a visit to Fort Morgan, souvenir shopping, rent videos at Coastal Video, ride the rollercoaster at The Park at Owa, etc... What activities are available during my stay?

Once you've checked in, our staff is available to ensure a wonderful vacation experience. Amenities at most locations are pools, tennis court, exercise room, and hot tubs in addition to the beautiful sugar-white sand beaches the Gulf of Mexico offers. Several complexes include racquetball courts or a lazy river. Additionally, there are many attractions within a short drive. Please see the Area Guide.

Is internet access available?

Free WiFi is provided in some complexes. Please inquire at the front desk to see if it is available at your location.

Do I have to reserve a grill?

Grills may not be reserved they are on a first come first serve basis.

Who delivers food in this area?

What time do the pools open and close?

They open at 7am and close at 11pm.

Can I rent beach chairs and umbrellas?

Chairs and umbrellas may be rented daily and weekly through Ike's Beach Service. For rate information call 251-948-3757. The Phoenix condos and Island Winds East have on-site rentals.

Which places have a seafood buffet?

Hazel’s (nightly), Fish Camp (nightly), Doc’s seafood (orange beach only)

Is the ferry running, how much is it, what times does it run?

Visit their website at www.mobilebayferry.com or call(251) 861-3000 for up to the minute info. Prices are 4.50 per adult 12 and under are free. Vehicles range from 8.00 to 60.00 depending on 1 way vs. round trip and size of vehicles.

Where can I set up my tent?

Tents must be at least 50 ft back from the water behind the chairs and umbrella’s.

When do the sea turtles come?

They lay their eggs in May and June and they hatch in October or November. See www.gulfshores.com for details.
