Easter Weekend in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach

More Info

What better way to spend Easter than with the sand between your toes, spectacular views of the beautiful Gulf waters, and the warm temperatures of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach? There are plenty of events going on to fill your Easter weekend with fun and to create unforgettable memories. The Easter Bunny has a busy weekend on the shores, hurrying from Easter egg hunt to Easter egg hunt, so be sure to get some pictures with the celebrity of the weekend.

Easter Celebrations
Take part in The Wharf's Easter Egg Hunt, a free annual event that begins at 11 a.m. the Saturday before Easter on the Marina Lawn. There are two sections divided by age, one for children ages 5 and under, and the other for children between 6 and 10 years old, so your little ones will be running around with kids their own age. In addition to the egg hunt, kids will enjoy giant color sheets, dancing to live music, expending that sugar from the Easter candy in bouncy houses, and more!

The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures following the hunt, so be sure to bring your camera along! He will also return the following the day for additional photo opportunities, so you can snap a picture with your kids in their Sunday best alongside the Bunny in his.

On Easter day, the Easter Bunny oversees an Easter egg hunt in the sand at Lulu's at 2 p.m., so if you miss the one at The Wharf, don't fret! This hunt is also divided into age groups, so whether you have a toddler or an 8-year-old, they're sure to find eggs with fun prizes inside.

Easter Services in the Area
There are churches of many denominations in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, as well as several non-denominational churches that will be holding Easter services. You can find listings of area churches here so that you can figure out where to go on Easter morning.

For a truly unique Easter service, head to the Flora-Bama Lounge's Worship on the Water. Their service takes place every Sunday at 11 a.m. and is open to everyone, and Easter draws an especially big crowd. In the past, they've had over 2,000 people attend this service! Stick around afterwards for Sunday brunch, Gulf Coast style.

Have some extra time on your Easter Sunday? Don't forget to take a walk on the beach - you'll burn off some of those calories from brunch and get to enjoy the gorgeous weather that Gulf Shores has to offer. Book your stay today in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach and have a great Easter!
