Rise & Shine for Papa Rocco's Pub Crawl
Start your celebration at Papa Rocco's St. Paddy's Day Party and Pub Crawl at 9:30 a.m. on St. Patrick's Day at Papa Rocco's in Gulf Shores. The giant green pub crawl is a leisurely stroll to various downtown watering holes, accompanied by the grand marshal and financier, Bill McGinnes, and over 1,000 participants, including the Champion Windsor Canadian Police Pipe Band. Free and open to the public, the annual event is always a hit—and you'll make memories that last long after the last toast. The crawl typically wraps around 2:00 p.m., leaving time to explore more festivities.
Live Music
Take a late-afternoon breather with live music at LuLu's. St. Patrick's Day often comes with a great band and an upbeat crowd—perfect for keeping the celebration going without racing from stop to stop. Check the venue's event calendar so you can time your visit.
Irish Food & Drinks
For a more laid-back St. Paddy's stop, head to Big Beach Brewing Company for an Irish brew and festive fare. This newer Gulf Shores tradition typically pairs seasonal beers with a restaurant partner for food specials that fit the occasion.
Make Sure to Wear Green
Locals and travelers alike keep things friendly—but don't be surprised if someone notices you skipped the green. In past years, some local businesses have even offered discounts to guests showing their St. Patrick's Day spirit. Keep an eye out for pop-up specials.
Make it a beach weekend
Stay close to the action, enjoy warmer coastal weather, and celebrate at your own pace—then unwind by the Gulf.
