You can also visit to book a fishing trip on one of the area's many charter boats, such as Reel Surprise Charters, or pick up fresh local seafood at a variety of markets.
While Orange Beach and Gulf Shores offer a lot of water activities, including fishing, jet-skiing, parasailing, and more, there's plenty of stuff to do on land, as well. Catch a concert at the Amphitheater at The Wharf, or wander The Wharf premises for shopping, unique events like cooking classes or wine tastings, and for a ride on one of the Gulf Coast's largest Ferris wheels.
For eating and drinking in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores there are an array of options, with the star of the show undoubtedly our local coastal seafood. If you haven't developed a taste for seafood yet, you will here, whether it's by enjoying the catch of the day or diving into our famed Royal Red shrimp.
Orange Beach is also a great location if you are interested in exploring local culture. Mobile is only an hour away and boasts major museums, as well as one of the most exciting Mardi Gras celebrations in the United States. The National Naval Aviation Museum is just a short drive away in Pensacola, Florida. Then there's Biloxi, only two hours away and perfect for a casino day trip.
