How to Host Easter Brunch in your Gulf Shores Condo

More Info

Easter is a great time to get away, vacation and spend some time with your family, and Gulf Shores is the perfect place to do just that! Kids will love the idea of Easter egg hunting at the beach and relish the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny. Adults will be happy to eat some fresh, delicious Gulf seafood and relax on the beach.

When you book a condo for Easter weekend with Brett-Robinson, you'll have the advantage of a full kitchen and enough space to accommodate a large family. So, if your family enjoys the tradition of cooking and eating together, our beach condos will deliver. Our condos range from 1 to 4 bedrooms and our beach houses up to 6 bedrooms, so you can book the right size for your family. Unlike most hotels, our condos provide the shared common space to spend time together.

Preparing Easter Brunch
Our condos have full kitchens and come with all the basic cooking utensils, but if you need something special, remember to pack it. Also, remember things like oil and spices so you don't have to waste time hunting them down. A great brunch usually involves a complementary mix of breakfast and lunch items?and mimosas or Bloody Marys. Ideas for the perfect Easter brunch in your Gulf Shores condo include:

  • Shrimp and grits
  • Potato latkes or crepes with salmon
  • Cheesy shrimp omelets
  • Crab cakes
  • Eggs Benedict with lump crab or crab cakes
  • Spicy frittatas with crab or shrimp
  • Any grilled or blackened seafood with breakfast potatoes

Plan most of your menu before leaving for the beach so you can ensure that you pack everything you'll need. Once you get to the Coast, all you'll need to do is make a quick trip to the grocery store to get any fresh dairy, fruit or vegetables you might need and then head off to a local seafood market to pick up a fresh catch! There are several great places to buy fresh seafood in Gulf Shores. Two of them are Blalock Seafood Market and S & S Seafood Market. At either of these places, you can pick up fresh fish and/or shellfish. Some local seafood markets also sell prepared food like potatoes and dips, so you can buy sides if you don't feel up to the job. Don't forget to pick up a great bottle of sparkling wine and juice for mimosas if you haven't already! Bring the goods back to your condo and start doing any prep work you can get out of the way before Sunday. Then, it's time to kick back and relax with the family!

For the kids
Kids look forward to Easter egg loot all year. Combine that with the beach, and you'll provide an egg hunt they'll never forget. You can either put together an egg hunt inside and around the condo, or you can bring the kids to the Wharf in Orange Beach on the Saturday before Easter for a massive egg hunt on the Marina Lawn. The hunt starts around 11 a.m., and the Easter bunny shows up every Easter weekend to take pictures with the kids! Bring your child to the Marina Lawn between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday to meet the Easter bunny.
