Each year, Brett/Robinson’s Phoenix properties have winter calendars full of fun and friends with a family-like atmosphere. During last year’s end-of-the-season Snowbird party and fish fry in March, Pat Schaefer of Platteville, Wisconsin said she and her husband, Jim, have stayed at Phoenix V for the last 15 years.
“It’s such a family place,” Pat Schaefer said. “Everybody knows everybody.”
So far this year there has been no slowing down. The first monthly potlucks of the season kicked off Thursday, Jan. 19 with themed parties such as “Roaring’ 20s” at Phoenix East, a luau at Phoenix VII, an old-fashioned hoedown at Phoenix V, James Bond 007 fun at Phoenix West II and a Wild West backdrop at Phoenix on the Bay, among others.
The potlucks gave way to a sold-out trip to the French Quarter in New Orleans on Monday, Jan. 23, which had perfect weather. Coming up is a trip to the World War II Museum in New Orleans on Feb. 7, a Paddle Boat Brunch Cruise in Orange Beach on Feb. 11, and a Mardi Gras Dance and Dinner on Feb. 20 at the Orange Beach Events Center.
Casino trips run Mondays and Wednesdays through February and the Annual Fish Fry for Brett/Robinson snowbirds will be held on Tuesday, March 7.
Trips, events and socials are offered exclusively to Brett/Robinson guests.
