The Blue Heron is a comfortable, spacious house owned and loved by the same family for four generations. Unlike condos, it's private and roomy, and its location and view are amazing!

There's a clear view of pure white sand and the glittering Gulf of Mexico from inside and outside the house. The surf is only yards away. Just cross West Beach Boulevard and you're already walking in the sandy dunes.

You can also see downtown Gulf Shores from the deck, including the Hangout, which has been there for forty years. Some of the town's best restaurants, shops, boutiques and souvenir shops are a short three blocks away -- easy walking even for small children. The deck is one of the best seats in the whole town. Watch fireworks and festivals -- no need to get into that awful traffic.

The house has three bathrooms and three bedrooms, all personalized. Two have queen beds, a TV and a DVD player. The master suite retains the vintage pine paneling from the 1940s, is connected to cable and has a DVD player. It can be closed off from the rest of the house for privacy. All have plenty of room in closets and chests of drawers for everything you need to bring.

The kitchen is fully operational for when you want to eat at home. The dining table seats six and the kitchen counter seats three. Appliances include washer, dryer, ice-maker, dishwasher, cable, free unlimited WiFi, a flat screen TV in the living room, and ceiling fans throughout.

There's room to park four vehicles below the house -- if you decide you want to go anywhere but the beach or the deck!
