Independence Day Activities!
White Stars on a blue field with red stripes are the first thing to come to mind when you talk about celebrating the 4th of July. That along with banners or bunting or miniature waving flags. We all have memories of what we did as a child over the patriotic holiday! Your family could be dreaming of sugar-white sands, blue gulf waves, and spectacular red sunsets this year. If that’s the case, we know you won’t want to miss out on the activities and of course firework shows while you are here!
at The Wharf in Orange Beach
Uncle Sam is turning a spry 242 years old on July 4, so we thought we’d celebrate a day early here at The Wharf! Join us for our Independence Day Street Party on July 3 for the ultimate freedom celebration! Bring the family down for live entertainment, kid-friendly activities sponsored by Christian Life The Island Church, prize giveaways, and much more. We will be handing out glow-in-the-dark American flags to wave when the sun sets, and our iconic palm trees will sparkle a patriotic theme of red, white, and blue! Set up shop on Main Street for the perfect fireworks viewing spot and hang around for our Spectra Sound & Light Spectacular shows.
Tuesday, July 3; 5-9 p.m.; fireworks display begins at 8:45pm.
Admission is FREE; Face painting – $5, $7 & $10, Trampoline jumpee – $5

at The Gulf State Park Pier
The City of Gulf Shores will celebrate the Fourth of July with a stunning fireworks display, beginning at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4. Fireworks will be shot from the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier.
According to organizers, fireworks will be shot from the southern end of the 1500 foot fishing pier, leaving Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores Public Beach and surrounding areas as ideal locations for spectators. “We can’t thank Gulf State Park enough for their partnership allowing us to put on this wonderful show,” said Programs and Events Manager Brigette Reynolds.
Come early to get a great fireworks parking spot for FREE at Gulf State Park Lake Shelby.
Have dinner from one of our food trucks, listen to some music and have a nice relaxing evening at the lake.
Walk across our new pedestrian bridge to watch the fireworks at the Pier at 9 p.m. or just pull up a lawn chair and stay at the lake. Don’t try to fight the traffic after the show, hang out at the lake for a while, have a snack and have some fun instead of being stuck in your car.
