Relax on a Sail Wild Hearts Dolphins and Angels cruises
It was all smooth sailing when we took the family out on a Wild Hearts Dolphins & Blue Angels Sail during a recent Orange Beach vacation.
I cannot tell you how much fun we had stepping aboard the catamaran for our six-hour trip. I was able to kick back while the captain and crew did all the work. They were very friendly and helpful – made us feel like part of their family.
The hospitality is incredible, and so is the scenery. We even caught sight of some flying fish! True to the name of the cruise, you’ll spot dolphins, too. The crew provided breakfast, fruit platters, bottled water and soft drinks along the way.
As we headed into Pensacola, they dropped anchor near a lighthouse (that is said to be haunted) and prepared us to watch the world-famous Blue Angels soar overhead from the Pensacola Naval Air Station, their homeport. These are elite fighter pilots and it’s a thrill to watch them perform heart-stopping maneuvers.
After the show, we sailed to a historic Civil War fort on a lagoon. Passengers enjoyed snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding there, after which we enjoyed lunch before the sail back. I used that time to catch a nap on the spacious deck.
Upcoming dates for the Dolphins & Blue Angels sails are June 15, 22 and 29; July 19; Aug. 10 and 17; and Sept. 7. Call 251-981-6700 to book a spot on one of the cruises. You can thank me later!
