Beach Crawfish Boil

Somebody’s serving crawfish? And it’s at the beach? I’m there!crawfish boil gulf state park pavilion july 2 2014 gulf shores mojo's seafood and chicken longreef

You know I love pretty much any seafood, but there’s something about crawfish that’s not only delicious and fun, but also social. A crawfish boil seems to encourage conversation, even among strangers – or rather, new friends. So I’m already antsy for 6:00, when I hope to be first in line for tonight’s Beach Crawfish Boil at the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion.

Since my family loves these little creatures as much as I do, one of us (probably me) will swing by Mojo’s Seafood & Chicken in Gulf Shores this morning to pick up the advance tickets at $15. Might as well save a few bucks over the gate price of $20, right?

Besides the crawfish platter, the ticket also includes a concert by Australian rock band Longreef. They seem to have quite a following here in the U.S., so I’m looking forward to hearing them. But while my ears may tune in to the band, my tastebuds will be busy in crawfish nirvana.
