I enjoy your blog about the Alabama gulf coast. Do you ever need any outside writing/photographic help? I’m a teacher, published outdoor and rural life writer, and I live in Bladwin County, so I’m very familiar with the beach and outdoor life scene here. Please let me know if there’s anything I can help you with- Ed Mashburn

We arrived on 9/3 for the rock allegiance tour(to be held 9/5). We never received our tickets, ordered at a discount, and were told we would get them when we checked in. We never received them although I was charged $56 for the tickets.
Then in came Lee. Kid Rock was to perform on Labor Day but due to the weather he cancelled for that date.
We noticed several things that needed to be reported, and did so. The repairs were not handled by your Phoenix one day front desk clerk, Jason.
During our stay, the master toilet had to be replaced but a new one could not be replaced due to the holiday. The problem was reported at 3 am. After calling Jason’s attention to the problem, that am,the inside maintenance man arrived at 1pm. He was very professional and did everything he could to try to fix the toilet w/o success.
We requested another room for our last night and was placed in Phenix 2 in a sub standard unit as compared to the unit we had in Phoenix 1. At this time the units were practically empty due to the storm.
Jason was very unprofessional . When I called to see if the room was ready, on three seperate occassions, the phone was picked up and then hung up. When my daughter called she was also hung up on then finally was spoken too.
Due to the aggravation, caused by Jason, we doubt that we will stay at one of your rental properties and will return to vacationing in Florida. The last 2 days with Jason at the desk were the worst I’ve ever come across over many rentals , yearly, during the summer/fall.
I hate that I had to write this review but would hate for someone else to go through a vacation like ours.
