I spoke with a neighbor the other day and learned that she is planning a girls trip to the beach with a small group of friends who are all taking this trip for different reasons, proving that there are all sorts of reasons that validate a girls getaway.
My neighbor wants to go because her daughter (and only child) is going off to college this fall—the trip is both a consolation prize and a celebration of newfound freedom. Another lady is pregnant with her first child, and is looking at this vacation as one last (safe and healthy) hoorah. One was promoted to a new position and wants to reward herself for her hard work, and the last friend simply wants to go—because you don’t really need any other reason for a beach getaway other than to have a good time.
They’re sure to have an excellent time in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach, especially if they
