Why Drive When You Can Stay at Island Winds and Walk to Shops and Restaurants?

My sister is planning a vacation in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach—a well-deserved vacation. She’s had a stressful couple of months at work and is planning a trip to the Gulf with a few friends. Their plan is to arrive, park the car, and drive as little as possible, spending their time swimming and walking the beach and shopping.

It’s very fortunate, then, that they’ve booked a Gulf-front condo at Brett/Robinson’s Island Winds East. They’re going to be conveniently close to downtown Gulf Shores, which means they won’t have to drive to go shopping. Or to eat out. Or to enjoy anything else in the area. (I told her she should wait and take this trip in October so she’s there for the Shrimp Festival—the Island Winds condos are right near that action—but she says she just can’t wait that long.)

And when they’re not walking the streets of downtown Gulf Shores, I know exactly what they will be doing: keeping cool in the condo’s Gulf-front pool, or maybe lined up on the beach in beach chairs, reading and talking and just enjoying the view and sounds of the Gulf. In the evening, if they’re not heading out for dinner, they’ll take advantage of their fully furnished kitchen, or perhaps my grill-master sister will treat everyone to a small cookout using the condo grills.

Whatever they do, they’re sure to have a good time. Jealous? Yeah, me too—just a little.
