Admittedly, this has been a fairly mild winter so far…but I’m over it already. I’m ready for spring. In fact, the warmer-than-average days we’ve had this season have felt almost like spring—I think I’m actually ready for summer!
But of course it’s still early in the winter season and summer is a long way off. So in the meantime, I’ll be daydreaming about and planning my summer activities—including that summer trip to the Gulf and the activities I plan to do at that time.
My plan is to think of things I haven’t done in a while and do them this year. Number one on my list is parasailing. It’s been years since I’ve sought out this attraction, and I’m pretty sure I hear that Gulf breeze calling me back to the sky this year.
Another attraction I haven’t visited in years: the Ferris wheel at The Wharf. It’s the tallest Ferris wheel in the southeast, and it’s just good, simple fun.
But I can’t spend my entire vacation up in the air, so my third pick is a little more grounded: crab hunting at night. I used to do this with my cousins when we were kids. It’s fun, exciting, and not to mention free—this year I think it’s time to introduce the nieces and nephews to the wonderful world of nighttime crab hunting.
