I finally got around to uploading some recent vacation pictures the other day, and it put me in such a mood for the beach. I tried to re-create a Gulf Shores beach rentals’ atmosphere in my home by relaxing with a couple drinks and some good beach music; I wasn’t very successful. I then decided to have dinner at a nice seafood restaurant. The meal was decent, but the shrimp I ordered were nothing compared to the shrimp I can get in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach.
Lucky for me, the 40th Annual National Shrimp Festival is only a month away. Not only will there be plenty of delicious shrimp (and other tasty food), there will also be live music, over 300 vendors offering fine art and arts and crafts, and several fun contests, including the Chef Challenge and a sand castle contest. The Children’s Activity Village keeps the little ones entertained with carnival rides, arts and crafts, and free popcorn and snowcones.
Held right on the beach, the Shrimp Festival is maybe the best way I can think of to satisfy my Gulf craving. Time to book a free night with Brett/Robinson’s Gulf Shores beach rentals for this four-day event.
