You Don’t Have to Be a Kid to Enjoy Fireworks

I can remember the first time I watched fireworks on the beach as a kid. I was pretty young, and I can remember being completely mesmerized by the sight of the bright colors bursting over the Gulf. We made it a tradition for years afterward to celebrate the Fourth of July on the beach.

It’s been a long time since I’ve celebrated the Fourth on the beach with my family. I’m not a kid anymore, but that’s the great thing about watching fireworks—it’s such a timeless, ageless pastime. And lucky for me, there are some excellent July 4th fireworks displays planned for next week.

The Perdido Beach Resort Fireworks Gala is scheduled for Sunday, July 3rd starting at 6 p.m. In addition to a fireworks show on the beach, attendees will get to enjoy live music by The Tip Tops and a cash bar. The price of admission is $30 for adults and $15 for children.

Then at 9 p.m. on July 4th is the Gulf Shores Annual Fireworks Extravaganza. Pick a spot on your favorite beach in Gulf Shores, enjoy the show, and make some new memories.
