Spring Bird Banding is Almost Here!

It’s finally spring and time to check out Gulf Shores & Orange Beach, AL condos! After one pretty tough winter (for someone born and raised in the South), I am ecstatic about the rising temperatures and the return of wildlife—flowers are blooming, trees and lawns are regaining their verdant status, and neo-tropical migrant birds are once again passing through the Alabama Gulf Coast.

It’s almost time again for the spring bird banding over in Fort Morgan. If there was ever a perfect way to observe the arrival of spring, this might be it. Thousands of migrating birds will make landfall at Fort Morgan, and between April 2nd and 14th the public is invited to watch the capture and banding of large numbers of these bird—including ruby-throated hummingbirds.

It’s really a fascinating scene to watch, and it’s free—perfect for any nature-loving spring breakers vacationing in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach, AL condos during that time. Visit Brett/Robinson’s calendar of events for more information.
