My parents are pretty old-fashioned. This is actually something I’ve always loved about them—until recently when it almost got in the way our vacation planning. We’re planning a family trip together to Gulf Shores & Orange Beach for this summer, and my Dad just couldn’t understand why I insist on using the internet for everything and risk divulging important information (i.e., credit card info) online.
But I think I may have swayed his opinion just a bit. I showed him vacation rentals in Gulf Shores and the Brett/Robinson website and all the hot deals they offer (including the Summer Specials deal, which we’re using for our summer trip). But what really caught his attention was the box that pops up stating that if you book online, you’re automatically entered for a chance to win a free three-night stay.
He was very impressed by this, and though he didn’t outright admit that booking vacation rentals in Gulf Shores online is a good—or even okay—idea, he no longer argued with me about it. It’s amazing how much power a possible free getaway holds.
