We love the Phoenix West. The last 2 summers
we have stayed there on the 10th floor and love
it. The views are spectacular! Our condo overlooks
the lazy river. It's just awesome.

My favorite view is definitely from Phoenix condos. Walking out onto a balcony of a 3-bedroom condo is a breath of fresh air. To me, it feels like home and heaven have been combined. You get the rush of ocean breezes, sounds of kids playing and the crashing of the waves. To the right and left of you, condominiums as far as the eye can see, and directly in front of you, the Gulf of Mexico which stretches to the point of no return. Every now and then, a plane will pass by pulling a banner of your favorite restaurant, or water-park. Do yourself a favor and leave your balcony door open at night. You will sleep like a baby.

Hi Theresa,
We're so glad you enjoy the blog!
You should arrive 45 minutes to an hour before parade time. There is parking on Bienville Avenue, which is the road that runs in front of the ferry dock. You can park anywhere along that road.
Check with the ferry before you depart. They were having some mechanical problems last week but planned to have them resolved in time for the parade.

Hi there, I just found your blog and really enjoy it. I was wondering if you could help me, I am thinking about taking my daughter to the parade today (we are in Perdido) and I was wondering how far ahead of time I should get there? Are there places to park for the parade once you are on the island? Thanks in advance for any info.

If I'm going for a vacation, first thing in my mind is a nice and wonderful "beach house". I agree with the part that you said about accommodations, a functional kitchen and access to the beach, I can relate to that.

I like to video the beautiful sunrises from the time the sky first lights up until the sun burst through, so when I get home I can always have a beautiful Orange Beach sunrise.

We arrived on 9/3 for the rock allegiance tour(to be held 9/5). We never received our tickets, ordered at a discount, and were told we would get them when we checked in. We never received them although I was charged $56 for the tickets.
Then in came Lee. Kid Rock was to perform on Labor Day but due to the weather he cancelled for that date.
We noticed several things that needed to be reported, and did so. The repairs were not handled by your Phoenix one day front desk clerk, Jason.
During our stay, the master toilet had to be replaced but a new one could not be replaced due to the holiday. The problem was reported at 3 am. After calling Jason's attention to the problem, that am,the inside maintenance man arrived at 1pm. He was very professional and did everything he could to try to fix the toilet w/o success.
We requested another room for our last night and was placed in Phenix 2 in a sub standard unit as compared to the unit we had in Phoenix 1. At this time the units were practically empty due to the storm.
Jason was very unprofessional . When I called to see if the room was ready, on three seperate occassions, the phone was picked up and then hung up. When my daughter called she was also hung up on then finally was spoken too.
Due to the aggravation, caused by Jason, we doubt that we will stay at one of your rental properties and will return to vacationing in Florida. The last 2 days with Jason at the desk were the worst I've ever come across over many rentals , yearly, during the summer/fall.
I hate that I had to write this review but would hate for someone else to go through a vacation like ours.
