Getting Around Town

Getting around Gulf Shores and Orange Beach is easy as a summer breeze!

Traffic flow runs North/South on Gulf Shores Parkway (Hwy 59), and East/West on Hwy 182 (East Beach Blvd which is also Perdido Beach Blvd and many times referred to as simply ‘The Beach Road’.).

Foley Beach Express is a four-lane toll road that runs north and south, parallel to Hwy 59.  It connects to Hwy 59 in Summerdale and goes to Hwy 180 (The Canal Road) in Orange Beach.  There is a $2 toll collected at a booth just before it connects to Hwy 180.  If you are taking the Foley Express and are coming to Brett/Robinson's office on Hwy 59, you exit the Expressway and follow the signs to County Road 4, which will connect with Hwy 59 just before our office.

Directions to all locations are based from the intersection of Highway 59 and Highway 182.

  • Hazel’s Orange Beach -6 miles east of the intersection and located in the Winn-Dixie Shopping Center.
  • Hazel’s Gulf Shores -1.1 miles north of the intersection.  Turn Right (east) on Ft. Morgan Rd. (Hwy 180).  Hazel’s is on the immediate left side of the road.
  • Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo -.9 miles north of the intersection on the east side of Hwy 59.
  • Kid’s Park -1.7 miles north of the intersection.  Turn left onto 19th Avenue (between BP & Shell gas stations).  Proceed through three stop signs and Kid’s Park is just past Bodenhammer Center on the right.
  • Pirate’s Island -2.7 miles north of the intersection.  Travel on Hwy 59 going over the Intercoastal Bridge, stay in the left hand lane.  As you come off the bridge, turn at the second cross over.
